Instructions

  1. First divide each baguette into thirds and divide each third into upper and lower halves. Mix the meat with the egg and finely chopped onion.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat
  3. Brush the undersides of the baguettes with processed cheese and then with minced meat and place on a baking sheet on the top shelf in the oven. Place the tops on top. Remove the tops after 2 - 3 minutes, otherwise they will burn. Bake the undersides for 10-15 minutes, the meat should be done, test by cutting to be on the safe side.
  4. In the meantime, wash, peel and cut the vegetables.
  5. Finally, cover the baked lower halves with ketchup, hamburger sauce, fried onions and the vegetables and place the upper halves on top.
  6. Tip: use leftover mead with a toast or bread roll soaked in milk to make meatballs.
