Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef, lean, fresh from the butcher
  • 2 tablespoon onion (s), very finely chopped
  • 1 ½ tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, coarsely ground
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt, coarse
  • 1 teaspoon Worcester sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • Chili, ground
  • 4 slices processed cheese or toast cheese
  • 1 packet bacon, sliced
  • Iceberg lettuce, cut into strips
  • N / A Tomato (s), thinly sliced
  • Onion (s), cut into thin rings
  • Cucumber (s), sliced
  • mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, hamburger sauce, etc.
  • 4 large hamburger buns with sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Put the beef in a bowl. Add the above-mentioned spices and knead everything carefully. Divide the meat dough into 4 equal portions. Shape into flat patties (only shape loosely, do not press too tightly) and use a spoon to make a slight indentation in the middle of the top so that the patties do not deform and cook evenly. Let it steep in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  2. Grill on the charcoal grill over direct high heat for 8-10 minutes with the lid closed, turning once. One minute before the end of the cooking time, salt and pepper the burgers as desired on one side and place the cheese slices on top.
  3. If you add bacon to the burger, fry it on the grill until crispy over indirect heat. It is best to do it before you put the beef on.
  4. Briefly heat burger buns in the oven or on the grill (caution burns easily).
  5. Now top the burger with mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup or BBQ sauce, iceberg lettuce, tomato slices, cucumber slices, onion rings and bacon as you like.
