Lush Tortillas on Kefir, with Caramelized Apples

Now is the time for juicy bright apples! And how many recipes you can use apples! Today, wonderful “fluffy” cakes in a frying pan, stuffed with caramelized apples! It sounds delicious, but the taste is amazing! Prepare instantly!

Ingredients

  • Apples – 3-4 pcs.
  • Kefir – 250 ml
  • Flour – 300-350 g
  • Soda – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Eggs – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons + for frying tortillas
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Sugar – 2-3 tablespoon.
  • Butter – 30-50 g
  • Ground cinnamon – 1-2 teaspoon

Directions

  1. The dough prepares quickly, so start with the apple filling.
    Cut the apples into cubes. If the apples are store-bought, peel them (I have local apples).
  2. Fry the apples in butter (20-30 g). When the apples have softened a little, but still slightly hard and crunchy, add sugar.
  3. Fry for another couple of minutes to caramelize the apples.
  4. While the apples are cooling, we are doing the dough. Add a pinch of salt, soda, egg, vegetable oil to kefir. Mix well and gradually add flour.
  5. Knead soft dough (it will stick a little to your hands). Let the dough sit under the cup for 10 minutes.
  6. 10 minutes passed. Knead the dough a little and put it on a table dusty with flour.
    Divide the finished dough into equal parts depending on the desired amount of cakes.
    We stretch (roll out) the blanks by hand, forming round cakes 1 cm thick.
  7. Add a few tablespoons of the cooled apple filling to the center of the circle, sprinkle with cinnamon.
  8. We collect all the edges in the center so that the apple filling remains inside, and pinch.
  9. Now carefully align and stretch the cake. The main thing is that the filling does not leak out.
    We let the cake lie on the table for 5 minutes while we do the rest.
  10. Pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan.
    Shake off excess flour from the cake and put the cake in a preheated pan, first with the seam down.
  11. Fry the cakes in a pan over low heat on both sides and covered. They fry quickly enough, so don’t yawn.
  12. Grease the finished kefir cakes with a piece of butter.
