Strudel with Apples and Cinnamon

Both adults and children are delighted with this fragrant pastry. Incredibly crispy dough, the most delicate and juicy filling … just lick your fingers! If you love homemade goodies, I recommend the recipe!

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheet – 2 Pieces
  • Apple – 2-3 Pieces
  • Sugar – 4 Teaspoons (+ 2 tablespoons brown)
  • Cinnamon – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Flour – 2 Teaspoons
  • Nuts – 100 Grams (walnuts or almonds)
  • Breadcrumbs – 2 Teaspoons
  • Egg – 1 Piece

Directions

  1. Apples, wash, dry, peel and cut into cubes.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, cinnamon and flour.
  3. Stir gently and leave for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Grind the nuts, but not into flour, but to feel the pieces.
  5. Combine nuts, sugar (white and brown) and bread crumbs in a separate bowl. Stir.
  6. Roll out a layer of puff pastry thinly.
  7. Sprinkle with nuts, add apples and cinnamon.
  8. Carefully roll up and seal the edges.
  9. Place the finished strudels on a baking sheet.
  10. Brush with a beaten egg, make cuts with a sharp knife. Send the baking sheet to an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
  11. Bake until golden brown for 40-45 minutes.
