Ingredients

  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • 150 g flour
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tablespoon amaretto
  • 2 egg yolks, depending on size
  • 200 g marzipan raw mixture
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon chocolate flakes

Instructions

  1. Make a shortcrust pastry from the first 6 ingredients and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Then roll out the dough into a rectangle of 30 x 22 cm and brush with 1/3 of the amaretto mixture, which was prepared from the remaining ingredients, and sprinkle the chocolate shavings on top.
  3. Roll out the marzipan mixture to a size of 30 x 18 cm and place it on the dough (center). Brush with 1/3 of the amaretto mixture. Roll up the sheet of dough and place it on the seam. Chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Cut into ½ cm thick slices. Brush with the rest of the amaretto mixture and bake at 200 degrees for approx. 12-15 minutes.
