Ingredients
- 1 pack fish fillet (s) (herring fillet)
- 1 medium onion (s), diced
- 1 apple, tart, peeled, pitted, diced
- 2 pickled cucumber (s)
- 2 egg (s), hard-boiled, diced
- 1 cup sour cream
- some cucumber liquid
- vinegar
- Oil, from the matjes parcel
- salt and pepper

- Drain the matjes fillet and cut into small pieces. Mix with the apple, onion, pickled cucumber and egg cubes. Add the sour cream, about 1 tablespoon of cucumber stock and some oil from the herringbone packet. Let it steep for at least 1 hour, then season with a little vinegar, salt and pepper if necessary.
- Hot jacket potatoes taste best with it.
