Chicken Kebabs with Spicy Dressing

This chicken kebab recipe can be used at home. A savoury dressing is a must for this tender chicken fillet

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Sesame oil – 1 tbsp
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • Chicken fillet (cut into small cubes) – 2 pcs.
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Onions (shredded) – 1 pc.
  • Small green chilli pepper (seeded, chopped) – 1 pc.
  • Garlic (coarsely chopped) – 1 clove
  • Peanut butter – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 6-8 tbsp
  • 1/2 lime juice

Directions

  1. Marinate chicken skewers. To do this, mix olive oil and sesame oil with lime juice in a plastic bowl. Place the chicken fillet cubes in this mixture. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Soak wooden skewers (8-12 pcs.) In cold water for 30 minutes before use so that they do not burn during frying.
  2. In the meantime, prepare the kebab dressing. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, pour onion, garlic and chilli into the pan. Fry over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes, until onions are soft. Add peanut butter, water and lime juice. Cook, stirring occasionally, until smooth and the peanut butter is completely dissolved about 3 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, remove the chicken fillet from the marinade and skewer. Fry chicken skewers on skewers in a barbecue maker or in an oven with a grill function for about 10 minutes, until the crust is fried. Serve the chicken skewers warm with prepared dressing.
