Ingredients

  • 4 slices toast
  • 4 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons jam
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 150 ml milk
  • 5 drops vanilla flavor, or 1/2 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • possibly cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon oil, or margarine or butter

Instructions

  1. The toasted bread slices are coated with cream cheese on one side, 2 of the slices are additionally coated with jam. Leave a little space on the edge.
  2. Eggs, milk, vanilla flavor and sugar (cinnamon if necessary) are whisked together in a shallow bowl.
  3. The coated slices of toast are folded and squeezed together so that they do not fall apart. Then they are placed in the egg milk and should soak well on all sides.
  4. Heat the oil, butter or margarine in the pan and bake the bread.
  5. To serve you can add fresh fruit, whipped cream or powdered sugar (or all of the above).
