Ingredients

  • 1 kg kohlrabi
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 50 g ham, raw (or bacon)
  • 25 g butter
  • a bit salt
  • some nutmeg, grated
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • liters ⅛ water
  • 0.25 liter ¼ cream
  • 1 bunch chervil
  • some black pepper, ground
  • some broth, granulated as required

Instructions

  1. Peel the kohlrabi (thick at the bottom, thin at the top). Cut into 1 cm thick slices and then 1 cm thick sticks.
  2. Finely chop the onion. Dice the ham (or bacon).
  3. Heat the butter in a saucepan. Fry the ham and onion in it for 2 minutes. Add the kohlrabi. Season with salt and sugar. Cover and cook for 25 minutes. Take off the stove. Stir in the cream. Season with nutmeg.
  4. If necessary, season with a little pepper and a little granular broth
